4x4 off road to Beaver Lodge / Atlanta Idaho 4

We finally crossed the bridge into town;

Atlanta

was established as a gold mining town in 1864, to date there are approximately 40 full time residences living there.

Well the coffee was calling so we made our way to the Beaver Lodge. The lodge walls have a lot of old pictures, I think the most interesting one is where Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp and all the gang of that era is sitting on a porch front.

The owners Russ Beavers and Kathy Makin have always made us feel really comfortable, and I think between them the breath taking views and

hot springs

are the major reasons we return every year and of course the adventure.

These are the little cabins (to the left of the lodge)   you can rent, they are fairly new and very cozy and comfortable, you can rent one for about $75.00 a night.

Anyway we went in and drank our coffee had something to eat and visited with Russ while our room was being made up.
